ART NARRATIVES 2021
In celebration of FRIEZE London, artist Emily Moore displays the incredible piece ‘The Wilds of Love’ in our 9 Mount Street window, accompanied by Petra Börner's wonderful ceramics throughout the store.
– Emily Moore –
Awarded the Valerie Beston Artist’s Trust Prize in 2020, artist Emily Moore brings her own term ‘wildness’ to contemporary painting; her approach suggesting the state of the contemporary through the lens of art history and its current context within the immediate conversations surrounding craft. Although Moore defines herself as a painter her work expands and takes form through yarn and weaving – bringing her explorative sense of wildness into her installation piece ‘The Wilds of Love' currently displayed in our 9 Mount Street Window.
– Petra Börner –
Artist and ceramic sculptor Petra Börner brings her unique and explorative hand-built stoneware pieces to Roksanda’s flagship store in Mayfair. The longing for a wilder, more immediate, natural process and practice brought her towards sculptural experimentations in clay. As part of her wider series ‘Take Root’, ‘Cactis’, and ‘Rainbowface’, the artists ceramic works are currently on display throughout the store – featuring curved forms that mimic abstract bodies guarding and embracing the soul; cementing traditional techniques with her distinctly modern expression.
